How we run class
What our instructors have completed, and the routines every class follows.
Ages 13 to adult
You set the pace with your partner. Drills start slow, and an instructor steps in when a drill needs to be slowed or changed.
Classes have up to 16 students, and an instructor teaches each one.
Rubber knives and padded sticks stay in the rack until an instructor hands them out. They are used for slow drills with a partner and returned at the end.
Shoes stay off the mat. Jewelry comes off, nails are short and hair is tied back. Mats and pads are wiped down after each class.
Teens train in their own class, with an adult instructor on the floor and a parent or named adult for pickup.
New students start in fundamentals, with an instructor beside them for the first drills and an easier version of every exercise.
