Three ways to train, each with its term

Every plan says what it covers, how long it runs and how to cancel.

  • Month to month

Any class that fits your level, as often as you like.

    • Fundamentals, drills and conditioning, every day they run
    • The women's class, if it is yours
    • Open mat on Saturday
    • A pause for travel or injury, on request
    Term:
    Renews each month
    Cancellation:
In writing, 30 days ahead. The month in progress is billed.
    Refunds:
A month already trained is not refunded; ask us about pausing.
  • Six-month membership

The same classes, with a term, for anyone who trains most weeks.

    • Everything in month to month
    • Early and midday classes for shift workers
    • A uniform shirt at joining
    • Advanced drills when your coach puts you forward
    Term:
Six months, then month to month
    Cancellation:
In writing, 30 days before the term ends. After the term, 30 days ahead.
    Refunds:
A month already trained is not refunded; ask us about pausing.
  • Ten-class pass

For people whose weeks change, or who want to try the room for longer.

    • Ten visits to any class open to your level
    • Good for three months from the first visit
    • Book classes on the booking page
    • Can be put toward a membership later
    Term:
Three months from the first visit
    Cancellation:
Nothing to cancel; unused visits end with the pass.
    Refunds:
    Unused visits are not refunded.

The figures for each plan are on our registration page and at your first class.

How tuition works

Here is what sets tuition, what the extras are for, and where to find the figures.

  • What sets tuition

Tuition depends on the plan, on how many classes a week you take and on whether you also take the women's or teen class. The figures are on our registration page, and we are glad to talk them through by phone.

    • Plan and term

    • Classes a week

    • Women's or teen class

  • Registration

A joining charge covers your file, a uniform shirt and a locker tag. It is due when you sign up after the trial class.

  • Holding a place

A place is held when you register. When a class is full we keep a waitlist and call in the order people joined; a place that opens goes to the next person within a day. Classes have up to 16 students.

  • Billing

Memberships are billed monthly by autopay. You see the schedule of payments when you register, and the desk can answer questions by phone on any open day.

  • Withdrawing

To stop or to pause, tell us in writing 30 days ahead; the month in progress is billed as usual. On the six-month plan, give notice 30 days before the term ends. Ask us how pausing works for illness, injury or travel.

  • Missed classes and make-ups

You can swap to any class open to your level in the same week. Book it on the booking page or at the desk.

  • Gear and other costs

A uniform shirt comes with joining. Gloves, shin guards and pads are on the rack for class; buy your own if you like. Seminars and outside events are optional.

    • A uniform shirt, at joining

    • Gloves, shin guards and pads, lent for class
